BunnyCup

This spring, craft a cute bunny cup to hold Easter treats!

You'll Need:
Paper cup
Scraps of pretty paper
12” length of crepe paper streamer
Chenille stem
Glitter
3 buttons
3 pom-poms
White glue
Pencil
Marker
Scissors
Paintbrush
Hole punch

Here's How:

1.| First make the head by using a pencil to trace around the top of the cup onto the back of some pretty paper; use scissors to cut out the circle.

2.| Next use a paintbrush to cover the outside of the cup with white glue, thinning the glue with a little water if needed.

3.| Immediately cover all of the wet glue with glitter, shake of the excess then allow the cup to dry.

4.| Meanwhile, cut out cute paper ears and glue them to the bunny’s head.

5.| To make the face, glue on 3 buttons and draw a little mouth with marker.

6.| For the collar, fold the piece of crepe paper streamer in half lengthwise and use scissors to cut fringe along one edge of it.

7.| Glue the collar around the top edge of the cup.

8.| Assemble the rest of the bunny by gluing on the head and the pom-poms for two buttons and a tail.

9.| To finish, punch holes in either side at the top of the cup and attach the chenille stem to make a handle. Fill the cute cup with goodies for a great gift, favor or table place marker!

More ideas and tips:

• Use a mini water cup instead of a normal sized one.
• Use a bigger container and paper pieces to make a bunny basket.
• Instead of glitter, simply cover the cup in patterned paper.
• Use ribbon instead of crepe paper for the bunny’s collar.
• Use sheets of felt or craft foam instead of paper.
• Googly eyes make a fun face too, or simply draw the features on with marker.
• Hot glue works great for assembling this project, but it is an adult’s job.
• Add a tage with a name to the bunny to create cute place markers.
• Add details like eyelashes, a mustache, a hat, a hair bow or a bow tie if desired.
• If making more then one bunny cup, design each one in a different color combination.
• Instead of candy, fill the cups with healthy snacks like carrot and celery sticks.
• Instead of filling the cup with goodies, place a small plant inside, or use it as a vase for a tiny bouquet of flowers.
• Try making these with different animals for birthday parties and other special occasions.
• Make cute cups for holidays like Halloween and Christmas.
