Craft this cute banner for any spring celebration!
WHAT YOU NEED:
Several sheets of colored paper
1 sheet white office paper (8.5”x11”)
11 small paper doilies (optional)
3 or more feet of ribbon
Glitter glue (optional)
Computer and printer (optional)
Pencil
Scissors
Hole-punch
Glue stick
HERE'S HOW:
Use scissors to cut out this butterfly pattern (or try an egg, flower or bunny shape instead).
With a pencil, trace around the butterfly pattern onto the back of 11 pieces of pretty paper.
Use scissors to cut out all 11 butterflies and then adhere one to each doily.
Next, type the words “Happy Easter” in any desired font on a computer, leaving a couple of spaces between each letter. Print the words in a large (about 90-point) font onto white paper. (Or omit this step and draw the letters or use alphabet stickers or stamps.)
Cut or tear out each letter and then adhere one to each butterfly.
If desired, use glitter glue to outline each butterfly; allow them to dry completely before going on to the next step.
Next, use a hole-punch to punch two holes in each butterfly—one at each wingtip.
Weave a length of ribbon through the butterflies to create a banner. Make one long banner, or one for each word.
Find a prominent place to display the sign and wish everybody a Happy Easter!
