Birds Nests

How cute are these marshmallow bird’s nests? Perfect for a springtime party, or as an afternoon snack or Easter treat. Blogger Arena Blake shares many more edible crafts in her book Awesome Edible Kids Crafts. This project is moderately easy, but adult supervision is required.

Ingredients
¼ cup unsalted butter
2 cups mini marshmallows
4 cups chow mein noodles
36 candy eggs

Directions

  • In a small saucepan, melt butter and marshmallows over medium-high heat. Place the chow mein noodles in a large mixing bowl. Pour the butter and marshmallow mixture over the noodles and stir to coat.
  • Spray a muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray and use a spatula to press the noodle mixture into the muffin molds. Use the back of a spoon to make an indention in the middle of each to create a nest shape.
  • Allow to cool, then place three candy eggs inside each nest.

Did You Know?
