Could they could equal the first film in this sequel? They did! The movie starts out with a peacock gone bad in China. Due to a prophesy, the peacock killed off all the pandas and was banished. He vowed to come back and rule China.

Po (Black), now our Dragon Warrior, is called on to defend against the huge new weapon the peacock brings with him to defeat Kung Fu. Po is advised the only way to defeat the enemy is to find inner peace. Much of the story involves his search for inner peace. Laced within all this are wonderful kung fu scenes and the gentle humor making this almost as funny as the first.

The movie deals with Po’s loss of his birth parents and his adoption by the duck. They handled it well, making Po question his origins, find out the true story and come full circle to realize that the duck was his father and he loved him.

Kung Fu Panda 2 has violence, though no blood, a few scary images for young children, no sex and no bad language. This is a terrific movie to see with your kids ages 7 and up who are not sensitive to large images.

User Reviews for Kung Fu Panda
"I would recommend this movie for kids to see. My five year old enjoyed the entire movie."- Michelle

"Cute and fluffy...both my 4 years old and teenage boys enjoyed it...look like there will be a Kung Fu Panda 3 based on ending."- Lilly

"This movie goes into continuing the poignant story of Po: "The Dragon Warrior" and the Fearless Five. This time centered on the age old ideal of Inner Peace. While it also delves into the aspects of Po's former life before Kung-Fu. This time around never falling short of the depth of character and mastery of his chi force with much comic value mixed in.  Also impressing upon the importance of realizing the sacrifices his panda family had to make for him to survive the oppression of their homeland. All the while he discovers his true identity. One of a kind family flick that we would highly recommend."- April

"Great family movie for all ages. Touching son and father story with Po and his dad. Lot's of action and Kung Fu moves that keep you interested and entertained. Jack Black is perfect for the character of Po, he's so charismatic and funny. Looking forward to buying the DVD when available. - Terry
