The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch. Experience 50 “Acres of Awesome” in this floral paradise where vibrant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers adorn the rolling hillsides, and the fields are blazing with roses, orchids, sweet pea blossoms and a greenhouse full of poinsettias. Naturally WILD. Encounter new animals, hands-on exhibits and activities where you can learn about wildlife and how critters thrive and survive in their natural habitats. Children’s Nature Retreat. Encounter more than 100 domesticated livestock from around the globe and see interactive presentations at this serene, ranch-style retreat. MythBusters: The Explosive Exhibition. The Discovery Channel’s Emmy-nominated series comes to life to uncover truths behind popular myths by mixing the scientific method with gleeful curiosity and old-fashioned ingenuity! Speed: Science in Motion. Explore the technology behind everything fast at this new interactive exhibit where you can take a closer look at the fastest jets, planes, rockets, cars, motorcycles, boats and bicycles in the world. Kids’ Days at The Flower Fields. Today, enjoy bubble-making, drumming, woodworking with The Children’s Workshop and more. East Village Opening Weekend Block Party. Celebrate Opening Day at Petco Park while exploring East Village. The 2018 Petco Park season opener ballgame features the San Diego Padres as they play host to the Milwaukee Brewers throughout the weekend.
