Mother's Day is coming!

Make MOM feel AWESOME with these Mother’s Day happenings, from delightful garden tours and mouthwatering brunches, to themed crafts, special shows and other activities that spell F-U-N!

FREE Kids’ Workshop at The Home Depot: Build a Flower Pot for you to keep or give to Mommy. Participants receive a certificate of achievement, a workshop apron and a commemorative pin (while supplies last). May 6, 9 am-noon. Register at

Queen Bee Market. Chocolate fountain, what else do I need to say.

Chocolate Festival. Indulge in these decadent treats at this annual event with dozens of chocolate tastings, demos, Mother’s Day gift ideas, a chocolate fountain and kids’ activities. Mother’s Day Weekend Art, Garden & Studio Tour. The San Dieguito Art Guild offers this self-guided, driving tour of various gardens in the Encinitas/Carlsbad area. JCompany Presents “Ragtime.” Take Mom to see this compelling epic that captures the American experience at the turn of the 20th century.
