Pink Army Seeks New Member Pink Army

Do you love to sing and dance? Here’s your ticket to fame! Pink Army is on the hunt for a talented girl (11-15 years old) to join their up-and-coming tween pop group. Be prepared to sing a one-minute song and learn the dance routine to the song, Be Mine. Dec. 4, 11 am-3 pm at Step it Up Studios, 1055 Tierra Del Rey, Ste. B, Chula Vista. Teen Scene’s Battle of the Bands. Compete for the title of “Carlsbad Battle of the Bands Champion” along with cool prizes and great publicity! Jan. 29, 4-9 pm at the Calavera Hills Community Center. “Water: Our Most Precious Resource” High School Photo Contest. Sweetwater Authority invites high school students in their service area to submit photos taken within the county that reflect some aspect of water or the lack of water. The winner receives $200; 12 runners-up will each receive $100. Photos will be featured in Sweetwater Authority’s June 2011 Water Quality Report & Calendar. Citizen Athlete of the Week Award. This annual program honors athletes for their sports achievements and citizenship. Awardees will be interviewed by KUSI’s Sports Division, receive a letterman jacket patch and earn a mention on KUSI News. Winners and coaches will be honored at a June 2011 banquet. Overall Citizen Athlete wins a $1,000 scholarship and a family cruise for four. Open to any high school varsity athlete participating in a CIF (California Interscholastic Federation) sanctioned sport.
