Established in 1987, the Chula Vista Nature Center is an internationally recognized zoo and aquarium exhibiting native plants and animals of San Diego Bay and wetland habitats. Located on 3.3 acres along the history-rich Gunpowder Point and the Sweetwater Marsh National Wildlife Refuge, the Chula Vista Nature Center offers up-close experiences with green sea turtles, shorebirds, hawks, bald eagle, sharks, stingrays and jellies.
